Podcasts

No. 1: Building the Right Team and Company Culture (Episode 82) – The COO Alliance Podcast

The COO Alliance podcast is a great resource for managers and leaders in any organization. Episode 82 offers n interview with Whitney Bouck, CEO of HelloSign to discuss her experiences surrounding forming strong company culture and what to consider when hiring. Other episodes spotlight entrepreneurs in the restaurant and retail space with valuable content.

No. 2: Business Wars Podcast

Hallmark Channel vs. Lifetime; Blackberry vs. iPhone: this is a podcast to catch.  Each episode shares the battle between two brands and the lessons learned along the way. There’s a lot to be learned about both sides of the battle after the dust settles.

No. 3: At the Table with Patrick Lencioni Podcast

Leadership expert Patrick Lencioni and cohosts sit down with key voices in entrepreneurship and business. Episodes cover every facet of business ownership, including culture, teamwork, to startup advice.

No. 4: Jon Gordon’s Positive University Podcast

Bestselling author Jon Gordon and guests share strategies and advice for cultivating positivity, overcoming obstacles, and making a difference in one’s family, business, or community.

No. 1: The Blue Zones Challenge by Dan Buettner

Learn how to lead a healthier, happier, longer life. The book and methodology share insights from studying five regions across the world with long-lived citizens. This book is the foundation of the methodology and there are also cookbooks, guides, videos, and other resources to help.

No. 2: Fierce Conversations: Achieving Success at Work & at Life, One Conversation at a Time, by Susan Scott

This book seeks to help you improve communication throughout every aspect of your life. It covers obstacles to effective conversations, improving clarity, and handling emotions. The updated and revised version also includes a workbook to accompany the resource.

No 3: Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones, by James Clear

This book provides a framework for setting up desired behaviors and establishing new habits, getting and staying motivated, and how to get back on track when you deviate from your chosen course. Good for teams and individuals alike.

No. 4: Bluefishing: The Art of Making Things Happen, by Steve Sims

Making the impossible possible is the name of the game for Bluefish founder, Steve Sims. He specializes in making once-in-a-lifetime events, such as getting married in the Vatican or being serenaded by Andrea Bocelli. This book shares Sims’ core philosophy about getting things done.
