In 2001, a family from Roxboro, NC, set out to give back to their beloved community by creating a unique entertainment destination. They built Palace Pointe, a 100,000-square-foot family entertainment center featuring a cinema, bowling lanes, a skating rink, an arcade, meeting and event spaces, as well as dining, concession, and retail options. However, they soon discovered that managing such a diverse facility was a challenge. The piecemeal software solutions available at the time couldn’t handle the complex needs of their business—what worked for movie theaters didn’t fit bowling centers, and restaurants required different capabilities than skating rinks. Faced with no comprehensive solution that could meet the demands of their multi-attraction venue, they decided to create their own. And so, CenterEdge was born.
