CenterEdge Software, a leading provider of point-of-sale, online sales and reservations, and ticketing systems for entertainment and recreation facilities, is pleased to announce that Oaks Amusement Park has selected CenterEdge Advantage Point of Sale software for its multi-attraction, outdoor amusement park.
One of the oldest continually operated amusement parks in the country, Oaks Park recently celebrated 114 years of bringing affordable, wholesome family fun to Southeast Portland. Since its founding, the organization has continued to grow and change along with the community, adding new attractions and reimagining existing ones. Today, the park is home to go-karts, skating, mini golf, a recently added roller coaster, and a variety of other midway rides and games.
CenterEdge Software will be used to manage all aspects of Oaks Park’s variety of unique ticketing and package options, concessions, birthday parties and group events.
“CenterEdge has really allowed our park to get caught up from a technology standpoint. Since implementation earlier this year, we’ve consolidated our customer relationship management, improved inventory tracking, established electronic ride access control, and launched online ticketing; none of which would have been possible without a versatile and robust product like [CenterEdge] Advantage,” said Brandon Roben, CEO, Oaks Park. “The best parts have been the ease of use for our team and the training support from CenterEdge. I’m still amazed at how easy and seamless this whole process has been.”
“Oaks Park is a cornerstone in their community, working to help families create memories. For over a century, their commitment hasn’t changed, and CenterEdge is honored to help them make a difference. We can’t wait to see how they continue to grow and feel confident CenterEdge will be there to help make things easier, day after day,” said Marcus Mayer, CEO, CenterEdge Software.
About Oaks Amusement Park
Oaks Amusement Park is the last of the historic “trolley parks” still in operation in the northwest and among the oldest continually operating amusement parks in America. “The Oaks” first opened its gates to eager visitors on May 30th, 1905, as a way of boosting ridership on the area’s emerging interurban transportation system. Arriving via streetcar, visitors to the park were thrilled by exotic animals, nightly fireworks, a bathhouse, death-defying amusement rides, and that latest of inventions – electric lights! “The Oaks” is proud to have offered safe, wholesome, family fun to our neighbors for over a century. Today when visitors walk through our gates they are delighted by a uniquely Portland blend of modern thrills and turn-of-the-century charm on a midway that houses everything from the vintage roller rink at the one end to the state-of-the-art Adrenaline Peak Roller Coaster at the other. The goal of “The Oaks” remains the same as it began a century ago, to give our neighbors a thrilling and affordable day of fun right in their own backyard.
