If you’ve opened a new facility in the last 2.5 years, chances are you’ve had the pleasure of working with today’s team member of the month, Sandra Welch. As the Training and Personal Development Manager for our company, Sandra is responsible for the software training for our internal team as well as our clients, and she does it with grace and aplomb. Bottom line: she’s someone you definitely want to know.

Which of our core values do you most identify with?
The CenterEdge core value I relate the most to is Innovation. I am all for doing things differently and adapting to what is needed. In this industry, you cannot rest on what has worked before, you have to be willing to take risks and try new things!
That’s one thing I value about our clients. There is always a push for keeping up with new and innovative ways to engage and entertain guests. It keeps CenterEdge pushing forward and elevates everybody.
Sandra, you make it look easy! Let’s do a fun fact. How about your favorite food as a child?
My Dad was in the Army, so growing up I loved getting MRE (Meals Ready to Eat). After he returned from field training, I’d go through his bag and find the unused packs, and it was always an adventure to see what they were (and fun to find the little things like Chiclet gum in the packs). I’m not sure I’d still have the same affinity for them now; I definitely prefer sushi these days!
What we love about Sandra…
Sandra interacts regularly with our entire Operations team, as well as many other departments. Team members couldn’t wait to tell us what they love about her.
We love that she’s so calm and approachable. It doesn’t matter how urgent or tense the situation, she is always a source of warmth and problem-solving with team members and clients alike. You just couldn’t ask for a better teammate.
You can tell she really cares and is genuinely interested in each person she interacts with, and tries to make them feel heard and be an asset to them. In fact, she cares so much about others that even when interviewing her for this spotlight article, she was thinking about ways to reach out to clients with more advice and resources.
